Cassava or Tapioca is referred to as Kappa in Malayalam. Kappa is boiled to form a smooth texture and then eaten with Meen (Fish) Curry. The spicy red Meen Curry with tamarind and coconut and Kappa is a staple combination in Kerala cuisine.
