Digital India Awards 2022-National Award by Government of India
Gold Award for Kottayam District Website(https://kottayam.gov.in) Kerala State
Digital India Awards have been instituted to honour exemplary initiatives in Digital Governance. The seventh edition of the Awards witnessed overwhelming participation from government entities across India. From among these, 22 initiatives in seven categories have been adjudged as the winners. The Website of Kottayam District (https://kottayam.gov.in), Kerala State won the Gold Award under Best Web & Mobile Initiatives Complying with GIGW & Accessibility Guidelines category.
Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu graced the Awards ceremony and conferred the awards in a function held on 7th January, 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Railways, Shri. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma, the Director General National Informatics Centre (NIC), Shri Rajesh Gera and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Dr. P.K. Jayasree IAS, District Collector, Kottayam, Kerala and Ms. Beena Ciril Podipara, Scientist-F and District Informatics Officer, Kottayam received the Award for Kottayam District from Hon’ble President of India.
