Saansad Adarsh Grama Yojana  (SAGY)

SAGY launched with the objective of creating model Grama Panchayats at different parts of the Country.  Under SAGY each M.P. has to identify a suitable Grama Panchayat which is to be developed as an Adarsh Gram by combining all central and state schemes implemented for development.Loksabha M.Ps has to choose as Grama Panchayats with in his /her constituency.      Rajysabha M.P. may choose Grama Panchayats from a Rural area of  a district of his / her choice in the state from which he/she is elceted.  nominated M.Ps may choose a Gram Panchayath from  the Rural area of any district in the country.

For holistic development of the Adarsh Grama, activities are to be taken up on various areas, including Personal Development, Human Development, Social Development, Economic Development, Environment Development, Basic Amenities and Services, Social Security and Good Governance.     31 Grama Panchayats were selected under SAGY Phase-I, 29 Grama Panchayats were selected under SAGY Phase-II  and 23 Grama Panchayats were selected under SAGY Phase-III.
